YRTTIKALLIO - A hidden gem of a cottage in Central Finland

Come and enjoy a peaceful cottage holiday at Keuruu! This calm and cozy cottage – located only an hour’s drive from Jyväskylä and 3,5 hours from Helsinki – sits by a large natural clear watered pond and is surrounded by forest. The cottage is rented on a weekly basis. It is well suited for families but works just as well for couples and singles who are looking for a quite get away and
enjoying nature’s beauty.

This comfortable open concept cottage has the capacity to sleep 4-7 people on two levels. On the ground floor there is:
- a private bedroom with a double bed
- an electric sauna with a shower (water tank heated by wood)
- indoor incinerator toilet
- a fully equipped kitchen
- dining room with a view to the garden and pond
- cozy living room with a wood burning fireplace and a smart-TV (wifi incl.)
Upstairs, accessed by a (steepish) staircase, you can find:
- two queen sized beds plus one single bed
- a small lounge space
- special nook for children
Outside amenities include:
- two different sized terraces/decks
- a summer room for cooking with gas/fire
- lawn space suitable for yard games
- an outdoor dry toilet
- a dock for swimming (excl. winter)
- a rowboat (excl. winter)
Closest bus and railway station, as well as services like grocery stores, pharmacies, restaurants etc., are located at Keuruu, just 8 km away. There are a variety of activities available locally: cross-country skiing , disc golf ranges, gym 8 km, indoor swimming pool 8 km, tennis and paddle courts 8 km, escape room games, Haapamäki steam engine park x km, golf range etc. Cottage is also conveniently located for day trips to ski centers (e.g., Himos, Laajavuori ), hiking at national parks (eg. Helvetinjärvi national park), Ähtäri Zoo, art museum tour in Mänttä or shopping at Tuuri.

Please note the following:
- no smoking allowed inside the cottage
- no pets allowed inside the cottage
- the rent does not include the linen so please bring your own sheets and towels (or the linen can be provided for the extra charge of 15€/person if ordered in advance)
- the tap water is NOT drinkable, but it is okay to use for showering and washing the dishes when heated
- two big bottles of drinking water (5l each) are provided, renter takes care of any further drinking water needs
- The renter takes care of the final cleaning. Please also note that we take an additional deposit of 150€ upon arrival. The money will be returned upon departure if the cottage is in the same condition as at the time of delivery.
