Villa Mairela is located in the Finnish countryside at a a 3-hour-drive from Helsinki. The nearest town is Pieksämäki, 20 km away. Other nearby towns include Mikkeli (80 km), Jyväskylä (80 km) and Kuopio (100 km).

Minimum stay is 4 nights. From Monday to Thursday as well as on Sunday the rent is 140€ and on Friday and Saturday the rent is 160€. Example: rental period from Monday to Friday 560€. Another example: from Thursday to Monday 600€.

Villa Mairela was built in 1986. Mrs Maire Lehvonen, in honor of whom the villa was named, lived in the house until 2018. The villa was renovated in 2018 and 2022.

The villa is located a few meters from the lake Pyhaluoma. The beach is private. The shore is ideal for children and adults alike (sand bottom, gradual slope). There is a fire pit and gas barbeque by the lake. Guests have a traditional rowing boat at their disposal.

Villa Mairela sleeps 8 people. Please note that there are no special beds for infants/toddlers. There are 4 bedrooms, living room, kitchen, wood-heated sauna, bathroom, two toilets, and a porch with a view on the lake. The living area is 160 square metres.

Two of the twin beds can be separated into 4 single beds for longer stays (minimum one month) when there are 7 single beds and 1 twin bed. Please notify us 7 days in advance if you need more than 2 single beds.

The villa is heated with electricity and an air-source heat pump, which also provides cooling in the summer. There is a wood-heated fireplace in the living room.

Tap water comes from the city of Pieksämäki and is of very high quality and of course drinkable.

The kitchen is fully equipped for 8 persons.

For those who enjoy outdoor activities the Watershed trails at Pieksamaki (25 km from Villa Mairela) offer breathtaking landscapes - Finnish nature at its best.
